My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because it is
ReplyDeleteabout sharing and gratitude and nothing of a
material nature.
My favirite thing is when my daughter comes home from University and we can all be together as a family.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the spelling mistake!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday is...Christmas! :) I feel more thankful than then any other time because everyone is all safely home.
ReplyDeleteChristmas is my favorite holiday. There's just something about it, where family gathers and miracles happens. Thank you for doing the giveaway. :)
ReplyDeleteI love Easter (Resurrection Day) ...love going to sunrise service and the beautiful songs and celebration.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite things is getting new stamping supplies to play with. My favorite holiday is Christmas, love everything about it :)
ReplyDeleteFunny how I didn't read your question the same as everyone else. I took it to mean what holiday as in travelling/ going to the beach/ etc. So I'll give both answers - best public holiday would be Christmas as there is something marvellous, mystical and magical about God coming to us as a baby along with the warm traditions of carols, special food and family time; and second, my ideal holiday would be to go do some adventure with my family (like going to a Game Reserve, walking in the berg, white water rafting...)

Hi, Would have to say Easter, the rebirth of New life, almost like a chance to start over, new bulbs popping up, trees budding, and of Course the Grand Kids and the Easter Bunny, is icing on the cake.
ReplyDeleteAnd as Easter is closer to Mothers day, and since loosing my Mom to cancer a few years ago, that was a wake up call for our family and It seems to have brought us all a little closer. Now we take the time to slow down and stop our hectic lives to enjoy one another, appreciate what we do have. Decorate, open up the doors and let the fresh air and new life welcome and envelope us all, I love plants and flowers and having everything all opened up, COLORs our lives. I know kind of sounds corny, but that is how I feel in the spring, kind of reborn.
Oh well, back to the ice cold weather!!
Can't wait for spring!!

I love the Winter holiday - people are so full of fun and lights are up all over. Santa comes with his reindeer --- well, until he couldn't find our chimney... we don't have one.
